Over the period from October 2022 to August 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.5%. The growth pace was the most rapid in January 2023 when the average export price increased by 14% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $453 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to August 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was India ($1,366 per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($324 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
