The average export price for ferrous waste and scrap; of tinned iron or steels stood at $411 per ton in September 2023, increasing by 6.5% against the previous month. In general, the export price showed a slight expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in November 2022 when the average export price increased by 45% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $515 per ton. From December 2022 to September 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Turkey.
