In September 2023, the average export price for ferrous waste and scrap; of tinned iron or steels amounted to $404 per ton, declining by -1.8% against the previous month. Over the period under review, export price indicated a mild expansion from October 2022 to September 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.4% over the last eleven-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2023 figures, export price for ferrous waste and scrap; of tinned iron or steels increased by +18.0% against May 2023 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 213% m-o-m. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $642 per ton. From January 2023 to September 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
