Price for Ferrous Waste and Scrap; of Cast Iron in France (FOB) - 2023

In October 2023, the average export price for ferrous waste and scrap; of cast ira amounted to $360 per ton, increasing by 4.9% against the previous month. Over the last eleven months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.7%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2023 an increase of 14% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $412 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to October 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Turkey ($829 per ton), while the average price for exports to Switzerland ($156 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From November 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+3.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
