The average import price for felt; whether or not impregnated, coated, covered or laminateds stood at $3,287 per ton in October 2023, declining by -10.2% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in December 2022 when the average import price increased by 29% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $3,901 per ton in August 2023; however, from September 2023 to October 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Poland ($11,117 per ton), while the price for Belgium ($1,993 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In general, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2023 when the average export price increased by 30% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $4,008 per ton. From September 2023 to October 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Hungary ($5,492 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($2,089 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Spain (+3.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
