In 2022, the average import price for ethers; acyclic, and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives, diethyl ethers amounted to $4,117 per ton, stabilizing at the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a perceptible contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when the average import price increased by 17%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $6,115 per ton. From 2017 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($12,510 per ton), while the price for the Czech Republic amounted to $3,702 per ton.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+2.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

The average export price for ethers; acyclic, and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives, diethyl ethers stood at $6,633 per ton in 2022, with a decrease of -8% against the previous year. In general, the export price showed a abrupt contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average export price increased by 20%. The export price peaked at $21,358 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Cote d'Ivoire ($28,000 per ton), while the average price for exports to Georgia totaled $6,271 per ton.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Georgia (-11.5%).

In 2022, approx. 28 tons of ethers; acyclic, and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives, diethyl ethers were imported into Ukraine; falling by -9.7% against the year before. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a noticeable increase from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.1% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +80.5% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 100%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 31 tons, and then contracted in the following year.

In value terms, imports of ethers; acyclic, and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives, diethyl ethers reduced to $115K in 2022. In general, imports, however, showed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 116%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $126K, and then reduced in the following year.

In general, exports, however, saw a moderate increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 82%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 131 kg, and then declined rapidly in the following year.

In value terms, exports of ethers; acyclic, and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives, diethyl ethers reduced markedly to $398 in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a resilient expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 118%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $945, and then fell sharply in the following year.
