The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 60% against the previous year. The import price peaked in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.

Overall, export price indicated a perceptible increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, export price for ether-alcohols and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives (excluding 2,2-oxydiethanol) increased by +67.5% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average export price increased by 49%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($16,333 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina ($2,948 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In general, imports continue to indicate a slight decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 28%.
