The average import price for ether-alcohols and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives (excluding 2,2-oxydiethanol) stood at $1,302 per ton in June 2022, growing by 2.2% against the previous month. In general, the import price recorded a pronounced increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2022 an increase of 197% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $3,157 per ton. From May 2022 to June 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2022, the country with the highest price was Italy ($2,738 per ton), while the price for Saudi Arabia ($1,047 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2021 to June 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Thailand (+7.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
