In November 2023, the average import price for electric motors; AC motors, multi-phase, of an output exceeding 75kWs amounted to $3,268 per unit, picking up by 19% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, recorded a abrupt setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 90% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $17,588 per unit in April 2023; afterwards, it flattened through to November 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Finland ($28,625 per unit), while the price for China ($1,880 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Brazil (+1.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $4,523 per unit. From 2016 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
