In 2022, the average import price for dithionites and sulphoxylates; of sodia amounted to $2,783 per ton, increasing by 9% against the previous year. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $45,000 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Bulgaria ($5,940 per ton), while the average price for exports to Romania amounted to $4,806 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (+18.0%).
Imports of Dithionites and Sulphoxylates; of Sodium in Hungary
