In August 2023, the average diethylene glycol and digol import price amounted to $936 per ton, which is down by -5.9% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 an increase of 16% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $1,061 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to August 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($1,283 per ton), while the price for Belgium totaled $913 per ton.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+3.0%).

The average diethylene glycol and digol export price stood at $1,136 per ton in August 2023, declining by -15.2% against the previous month. Overall, the export price recorded a noticeable curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 when the average export price increased by 72% m-o-m. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $1,939 per ton. From March 2023 to August 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
