In July 2023, the average diethylene glycol and digol import price amounted to $977 per ton, which is down by -8.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 5.8% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $1,065 per ton in June 2023, and then contracted in the following month.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the countries with the highest prices were the Netherlands ($1,045 per ton) and Belgium ($1,017 per ton), while the price for Germany ($874 per ton) and Italy ($1,004 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+0.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the average diethylene glycol and digol export price amounted to $1,835 per ton, picking up by 11% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a deep setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 an increase of 114% against the previous year.
