In 2022, the average import price for crustacean preparations; prepared or preserved crustaceans (excluding crab, shrimps, prawns and lobster)s amounted to $4,313 per ton, with an increase of 7.4% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import price indicated strong growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, import price for crustacean preparations; prepared or preserved crustaceans (excluding crab, shrimps, prawns and lobster)s increased by +25.9% against 2017 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the average import price increased by 76%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $12,941 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($24,833 per ton), while the average price for exports to Belarus stood at $6,998 per ton.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+1.5%).

In general, imports saw a sharp contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 11%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 311 tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports of remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, imports of crustacean preparations; prepared or preserved crustaceans (excluding crab, shrimps, prawns and lobster)s fell notably to $267K in 2022. Overall, imports faced a precipitous decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by 12%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $1.2M. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 3.4 tons, and then dropped markedly in the following year.

In value terms, exports of crustacean preparations; prepared or preserved crustaceans (excluding crab, shrimps, prawns and lobster)s reduced notably to $12K in 2022. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 162,887% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $24K, and then reduced dramatically in the following year.
