Price for Corn Flakes and Cereal Products in Thailand (FOB) - 2023
The average export price for cereal grain products (including corn flakes) stood at $3,133 per ton in September 2023, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.3%. The growth pace was the most rapid in June 2023 when the average export price increased by 13% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $3,319 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to September 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($5,641 per ton), while the average price for exports to India ($484 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+3.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In September 2023, the average import price for cereal grain products (including corn flakes) amounted to $2,133 per ton, rising by 5.2% against the previous month. In general, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2022 an increase of 30% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $2,518 per ton. From December 2022 to September 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($3,693 per ton), while the price for India ($504 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+5.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Exports of Corn Flakes and Cereal Products in Thailand
Corn flakes and cereal products exports from Thailand reached 77K tons in 2022, growing by 13% on the previous year's figure. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +9.7% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
