In August 2023, the average copper; refined, unwrought, billets export price amounted to $10,838 per ton, growing by 18% against the previous month. Over the period from August 2022 to August 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.3%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was China ($27,055 per ton), while the average price for exports to South Korea ($8,623 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+13.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the amount of copper; refined, unwrought, billetses exported from Germany dropped sharply to 23K tons, with a decrease of -30.7% against 2021 figures. In general, exports saw a deep setback.
