The average import price for copper; powders of non-lamellar structures stood at $13,645 per ton in July 2023, with an increase of 4.1% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a mild contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in February 2023 when the average import price increased by 9.9% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $16,161 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the countries with the highest prices were France ($14,600 per ton) and the UK ($14,201 per ton), while the price for Serbia ($11,014 per ton) and Italy ($13,012 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+15.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
