The average copper; powders and flakes import price stood at $11,086 per ton in July 2023, falling by -5.9% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a perceptible slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in March 2023 when the average import price increased by 16% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $15,401 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($16,826 per ton), while the price for Israel ($8,202 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+1.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average copper; powders and flakes export price stood at $8,123 per ton in 2022, which is down by -7.2% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 50%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $8,750 per ton, and then dropped in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Bulgaria ($8,354 per ton), while the average price for exports to Malaysia ($556 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
