In 2022, the average copper; powders and flakes import price amounted to $22,504 per ton, rising by 6.7% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 an increase of 13%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $29,383 per ton. From 2016 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

Imports of Copper; Powders and Flakes in Paraguay

After two years of decline, supplies from abroad of copper; powders and flakeses increased by 58% to 1.6 tons in 2022. In general, imports, however, saw a perceptible setback.

In value terms, copper; powders and flakes imports soared to $36K in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a pronounced increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.2% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
