The average import price for copper plates, sheets and strips stood at $11,340 per ton in July 2023, declining by -29.9% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in June 2023 an increase of 414% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $16,180 per ton, and then declined remarkably in the following month.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Greece ($11,370 per ton), while the price for Germany totaled $10,542 per ton.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (+51.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
