Price for Copper Plates, Sheets and Strip in Russia (FOB) - 2022

In January 2022, the average export price for copper plates, sheets and strips amounted to $10,410 per ton, shrinking by -7% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.5%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in October 2021 when the average export price increased by 16% against the previous month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $12,208 per ton. From November 2021 to January 2022, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major external markets. In January 2022, the countries with the highest prices were the Czech Republic ($12,971 per ton) and Belarus ($11,580 per ton), while the average price for exports to Kazakhstan ($8,797 per ton) and Ukraine ($9,939 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Belarus (+3.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for copper plates, sheets and strips stood at $10,448 per ton in 2022, shrinking by -15.4% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $12,350 per ton, and then fell dramatically in the following year.
