Price for Copper Plates, Sheets and Strip in Finland (FOB) - 2023
In July 2023, the average export price for copper plates, sheets and strips amounted to $11,292 per ton, approximately reflecting the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 an increase of 6.3% m-o-m. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $11,669 per ton. From May 2023 to July 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In July 2023, the countries with the highest prices were China ($12,564 per ton) and the UK ($12,294 per ton), while the average price for exports to Indonesia ($10,463 per ton) and Spain ($10,640 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Spain (+1.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for copper plates, sheets and strips stood at $11,165 per ton in July 2023, falling by -3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw mild growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2023 when the average import price increased by 8.4% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $12,483 per ton. From June 2023 to July 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Estonia ($12,880 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($3,137 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+7.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Exports of Copper Plates, Sheets and Strip in Finland
In 2022, approx. 36K tons of copper plates, sheets and strips were exported from Finland; surging by 2.1% against the previous year's figure.
