Price for Copper Bars, Wire and Plates in Singapore (CIF) - 2022
In September 2022, the average import price for copper bars, wire and plates amounted to $14,076 per ton, flattening at the previous month. In general, import price indicated a moderate increase from September 2021 to September 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.1% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2022 figures, copper bars, wire and plates import price increased by +8.3% against July 2022 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2022 an increase of 54% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $15,287 per ton in May 2022; however, from June 2022 to September 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Japan ($17,505 per ton), while the price for South Korea ($10,589 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2021 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+3.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average export price for copper bars, wire and plates amounted to $18,442 per ton, picking up by 52% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a buoyant increase. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($23,128 per ton), while the average price for exports to India ($9,404 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Indonesia (+13.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Copper Bars, Wire and Plates in Singapore
