Over the period from November 2022 to November 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.4%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $2,849 per ton in August 2023; afterwards, it flattened through to November 2023.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for the Netherlands.

The average export price for cocoa; paste, wholly or partly defatted stood at $1,642 per ton in 2022, shrinking by -39.7% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $4,990 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
