Price for Coal Other than Lignite in Bulgaria (CIF) - 2023
In October 2023, the average coal other than lignite import price amounted to $239 per ton, increasing by 34% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in June 2023 an increase of 151% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $356 per ton. From July 2023 to October 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

In August 2023, the average coal other than lignite export price amounted to $405 per ton, reducing by -15.5% against the previous month. Over the period under review, export price indicated a notable expansion from August 2022 to August 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.6% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on August 2023 figures, coal other than lignite export price decreased by -19.3% against May 2023 indices. As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Romania.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Poland amounted to +12.1% per month.
