In September 2022, the average import price for coal; anthracite, whether or not pulverised, but not agglomerateds amounted to $864 per ton, surging by 4.4% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price showed a prominent expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in December 2021 when the average import price increased by 63% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $890 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to September 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Vietnam.
