In 2022, the average import price for cloths; floor cloths, dish-cloths, dusters and similar cleaning clothses amounted to $6,765 per ton, picking up by 2.9% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.6%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 15% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in years to come.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($14,949 per ton), while the price for Turkey ($3,395 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+13.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average export price for cloths; floor cloths, dish-cloths, dusters and similar cleaning clothses stood at $10,550 per ton in October 2023, declining by -5.2% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in September 2023 when the average export price increased by 13% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $11,857 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to October 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In October 2023, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($12,592 per ton), while the average price for exports to Azerbaijan ($8,249 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to October 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kyrgyzstan (+2.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Cloths; Floor Cloths, Dish-Cloths, Dusters and Similar Cleaning Cloths in Ukraine
