In 2022, the average cereals; maize (corn), seed import price amounted to $4,890 per ton, rising by 7.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a resilient increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 82%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in years to come.
