In 2022, the average export price for cereals; maize (corn), other than seeds amounted to $316 per ton, picking up by 37% against the previous year. From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+2.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($343 per ton), while the price for Poland ($244 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From August 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Ukraine (+2.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
