In September 2023, the average import price for cereal groats; meal and pelletses amounted to $629 per ton, rising by 14% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible contraction. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $830 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to September 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Serbia ($598 per ton), while the price for Ukraine totaled $431 per ton.
From December 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Serbia (+0.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average export price for cereal groats; meal and pelletses stood at $1,349 per ton in September 2023, picking up by 15% against the previous month. Over the period from December 2022 to September 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.8%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was North Macedonia ($1,565 per ton), while the average price for exports to Serbia ($963 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Bosnia and Herzegovina (+2.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
