The average export price for cereal groats; meal and pelletses stood at $631 per ton in June 2023, growing by 2.6% against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.6%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2023 when the average export price increased by 15% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $673 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to June 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Cyprus ($874 per ton), while the average price for exports to Austria ($533 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Austria (+5.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for cereal groats; meal and pelletses stood at $481 per ton in June 2023, picking up by 7.2% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, recorded a pronounced decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in October 2022 an increase of 52% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $1,209 per ton. From November 2022 to June 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Poland ($3,039 per ton), while the price for Ukraine ($256 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+4.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
