In June 2023, the average import price for cereal groats; meal and pelletses amounted to $872 per ton, declining by -4.8% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in October 2022 an increase of 5.9% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $916 per ton in May 2023, and then fell in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Austria ($910 per ton), while the price for the Czech Republic ($213 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+3.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average export price for cereal groats; meal and pelletses stood at $753 per ton in June 2023, increasing by 4% against the previous month. Over the period from June 2022 to June 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.5%. The growth pace was the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 18% m-o-m. The export price peaked in June 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Croatia ($1,711 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($463 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Denmark (+8.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
