In November 2023, the average export price for cereal groats and meal; of maize (corn)s amounted to $376 per ton, with an increase of 8.1% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2022 when the average export price increased by 11% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $482 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to November 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Bulgaria ($466 per ton), while the average price for exports to Montenegro ($256 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Croatia (+0.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
