In 2022, the average export price for cereal grains; worked (eg hulled, pearled, sliced or kibbled) of oatses amounted to $518 per ton, surging by 1.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a slight downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 44%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $598 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Romania ($577 per ton), while the average price for exports to Lebanon ($332 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Italy (+20.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for cereal grains; worked (eg hulled, pearled, sliced or kibbled) of oatses stood at $303 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 9.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, showed a pronounced slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 an increase of 17% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $438 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Belarus.
From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Russia amounted to +15.6% per year.
Exports of Cereal Grains; Worked (Eg Hulled, Pearled, Sliced or Kibbled) of Oats in Ukraine
In 2022, overseas shipments of cereal grains; worked (eg hulled, pearled, sliced or kibbled) of oatses decreased by -65% to 1.3K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Overall, exports, however, enjoyed significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 302%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 3.7K tons, and then contracted markedly in the following year.
In value terms, exports of cereal grains; worked (eg hulled, pearled, sliced or kibbled) of oatses shrank markedly to $669K in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 358% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $1.9M, and then shrank notably in the following year.
