Price for Cereal Grains; Rolled or Flaked, of Oats in Ukraine (FOB) - 2022
The average export price for cereal grains; rolled or flaked, of oatses stood at $668 per ton in 2022, increasing by 17% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a noticeable decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average export price increased by 24%. The export price peaked at $830 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Morocco ($900 per ton), while the average price for exports to Libya ($516 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Morocco (+21.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average import price for cereal grains; rolled or flaked, of oatses stood at $922 per ton in 2022, jumping by 25% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed resilient growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the average import price increased by 93%. The import price peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in the near future.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($1,406 per ton), while the price for Latvia ($700 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (-0.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Exports of Cereal Grains; Rolled or Flaked, of Oats in Ukraine
In 2022, overseas shipments of cereal grains; rolled or flaked, of oatses decreased by -42.8% to 9.5K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a perceptible expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 40% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 17K tons, and then shrank rapidly in the following year.
In value terms, exports of cereal grains; rolled or flaked, of oatses dropped remarkably to $6.3M in 2022. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate prominent growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 48%.
