Price for Cereal Flour; of Maize (Corn) in Serbia (FOB) - 2023
In September 2023, the average export price for cereal flour; of maize (corn) amounted to $300 per ton, declining by -31.1% against the previous month. In general, the export price saw a noticeable setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in August 2023 an increase of 37% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $440 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to September 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Germany ($807 per ton), while the average price for exports to North Macedonia ($225 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Switzerland (-0.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The average import price for cereal flour; of maize (corn) stood at $2,501 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 150% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a pronounced downturn. The import price peaked at $3,787 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($2,495 per ton), while the price for Italy stood at $2,494 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+40.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
