Price for Cereal Flour; of Maize (Corn) in Chile (CIF) - 2023

In July 2023, the average import price for cereal flour; of maize (corn) amounted to $873 per ton, rising by 7.6% against the previous month. Overall, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 8.6% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $904 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to July 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Colombia ($923 per ton), while the price for Argentina totaled $512 per ton.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Colombia (+0.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
