Over the period from December 2022 to December 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.1%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2023 when the average import price increased by 37% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $3,007 per ton. From September 2023 to December 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($13,291 per ton), while the price for Turkey ($1,605 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Finland (+12.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
