Over the period under review, the export price, however, enjoyed measured growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2022 an increase of 121% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $25,764 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to June 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the UK ($25,556 per ton), while the average price for exports to Ukraine ($5,892 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Moldova (+12.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, supplies from abroad of caviar (salmon) and caviar substitutes decreased by -8.2% to 131 tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend.
