In July 2023, the average export price for briquettes, ovoids and similar solid fuels; manufactured from coals amounted to $82.1 per ton, which is down by -17.4% against the previous month. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a pronounced descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2023 an increase of 41% against the previous month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $148 per ton. From March 2023 to July 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Mozambique ($82.0 per ton), while the average price for exports to Swaziland totaled $66.0 per ton.

From January 2023 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+24.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
