The average import price for articles of apparel and clothing accessories, of leather or of composition leather stood at $22.9 per unit in November 2023, surging by 17% against the previous month. Over the period from November 2022 to November 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.2%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in July 2023 an increase of 37% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $23.0 per unit in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to November 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Spain ($51.9 per unit), while the price for India ($5.6 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+3.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average export price for articles of apparel and clothing accessories, of leather or of composition leather stood at $35 per unit in 2022, with a decrease of -6.6% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, posted prominent growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 an increase of 58%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $40 per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Sweden ($46 per unit), while the average price for exports to Hungary ($14 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (+18.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Articles of Apparel and Clothing Accessories, of Leather or of Composition Leather in Poland
