In January 2024, the average import price for articles of apparel and clothing accessories, of leather or of composition leather amounted to $8.9 per unit, falling by -29.7% against the previous month. In general, the import price saw a pronounced reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in September 2023 when the average import price increased by 25% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $16.9 per unit in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to January 2024, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($139 per unit), while the price for Pakistan ($2.4 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

The export price peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($45 per unit), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($1.7 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
