The average import price for anise, badian, fennel and coriander stood at $4,502 per ton in March 2023, declining by -30.5% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price showed a deep reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in May 2022 when the average import price increased by 79% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $8,807 per ton in March 2022; however, from April 2022 to March 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($8,692 per ton), while the price for Spain ($2,570 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From March 2022 to March 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Canada (+9.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
