In June 2023, the average andalusite, kyanite and sillimanite import price amounted to $634 per ton, leveling off at the previous month. Over the period from June 2022 to June 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.2%. The growth pace was the most rapid in November 2022 an increase of 15% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $643 per ton in May 2023, and then fell slightly in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Luxembourg ($984 per ton), while the price for South Africa ($456 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Luxembourg (+5.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Overall, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 65% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,362 per ton. From May 2023 to June 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($1,074 per ton), while the average price for exports to Latvia ($323 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Slovakia (+3.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
