In July 2023, the average andalusite, kyanite and sillimanite import price amounted to $727 per ton, with an increase of 6.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in September 2022 when the average import price increased by 34% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $993 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to July 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was France ($1,108 per ton), while the price for the United States ($585 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+3.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
