In August 2023, the average aluminium; powders and flakes export price amounted to $5,838 per ton, which is down by -5.9% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in September 2022 when the average export price increased by 11% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $6,395 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to August 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($8,375 per ton), while the average price for exports to the UK ($4,785 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Peru (+6.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.1%. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($15,957 per ton), while the price for Germany ($3,062 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
