Price for Aluminium; Powders and Flakes in China (FOB) - 2022
The average aluminium; powders and flakes export price stood at $4,203 per ton in 2022, shrinking by -6.6% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a perceptible curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when the average export price increased by 17%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $5,461 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($6,082 per ton), while the average price for exports to Indonesia ($2,885 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Vietnam (+2.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Overall, the import price, however, showed a slight setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 an increase of 204% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $39,810 per ton. From February 2023 to June 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($140K per ton), while the price for India ($6,098 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+29.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
