In December 2023, the average import price for aluminium; foil, (not backed), of a thickness not exceeding 0.2mm, not rolleds amounted to $6,830 per ton, rising by 2.9% against the previous month. In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 12% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $7,194 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to December 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the UK ($16,509 per ton), while the price for India ($3,682 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Sweden (+1.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Georgia (+4.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
