The average import price for alkali metals; other than sodia stood at $30,000 per ton in 2022, jumping by 473% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a mild expansion. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $78,320 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
