The average import price for alcohols; cyclic, and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivativeses stood at $17,768 per ton in December 2022, with an increase of 29% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a deep contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2022 an increase of 199% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $138K per ton in January 2022; however, from February 2022 to December 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2022, the country with the highest price was China ($18,917 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($2,937 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to December 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+0.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average export price for alcohols; cyclic, and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivativeses amounted to $17,014 per ton, declining by -26.3% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 104%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $23,087 per ton, and then shrank dramatically in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Syrian Arab Republic ($27,349 per ton), while the average price for exports to Free Zones ($13,494 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Syrian Arab Republic (+49.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Alcohols; Cyclic, and Their Halogenated, Sulphonated, Nitrated or Nitrosated Derivatives in Jordan
