In November 2023, the average import price for albumins; albuminates and other albumin derivativeses amounted to $7,090 per ton, picking up by 2.7% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a noticeable shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2023 when the average import price increased by 12% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $10,180 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to November 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Italy ($13,359 per ton), while the price for Belgium ($3,361 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+1.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In 2022, the average export price for albumins; albuminates and other albumin derivativeses amounted to $16,236 per ton, growing by 31% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the average export price increased by 56% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $16,536 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($22,666 per ton), while the average price for exports to Hungary ($11,274 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to India (+7.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
